Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icchelseanews that we think you may have missed…

CHELSEA star Renato Veiga has agreed to leave the club this summer, as he has reportedly said yes to a move to Athletico Madrid.

The club bought Veiga from Basel in June last year for £12m, with the highly-rated 21-year-old signing a contract until 2031, and many were hoping that he could become a real regular starter in the side.

Capable of playing left-back, centre-back and defensive midfield, he made 18 appearances under Enzo Maresca, most of which in the Conference League and the domestic cups.

Due to the lack of minutes, Veiga was loaned out to Juventus in January and instantly became a first-team regular for the Serie A giants, before ending the season as a Nations League winner with Portugal.

The Blues have been asking for £35m to sell Veiga, with a number of clubs being reported to be interested in the Portugal international, and One of those sides is Atletico Madrid, and it looks as if the player is coming round to the idea of joining the La Liga giants.

The Standard say the two clubs are in talks over a deal for the Portugal international whom Chelsea value at upwards of £35m, while there is also interest from Juventus and Bayern Munich.

IcChelseanews says…

Veiga is a wonderful talent right? He is the type of player that could really develop if he is given the time and patience to do so, so it is very sad to see that he now wants out of the club as he could be brilliant for us.

He may not have his fans here, but he is a player that we feel needs the chance to prove himself here.

JACKSON TALKS HELD

CHELSEA and Manchester United have talks over a possible deal for Nicolas Jackson, as the striker is seemingly a player that the club no longer want.

Chelsea have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with a £30 million deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and a £60m move for Joao Pedro from Brighton last month, and there is talk that they will continue their summer of spending.

The Athletic report that Jackson is not deemed as ‘untouchable’ at the club and could be sold if they receive a high enough offer.

And after suffering their lowest goalscoring tally in Premier League history last season (44), the Red Devils could still look to strengthen their front line by signing Jackson, as per BBC Sport.

Nevertheless, Mail Sport understands the club are in no rush to sell their man and value Jackson at a jaw-dropping £100m.

Amid all the speculation and rumours, reporter Iomie Stanley said: ‘Manager Enzo Maresca opted for João Pedro and Liam Delap in the Club World Cup, with Jackson limited to his game time

‘Jackson is only 24, so a move could provide a fresh environment to rebuild confidence and form—especially after injury disruptions and joining a club where he’s the focal point—rather than competing with a crowded forward line—might fully unlock his potential.

‘We are also sure that he would want to stay and fight for his place at the Blues, and i wouldnt mid that as he was impressive last season.’

HATO DREAM SIGNING

There has been some fresh reports in the media which have claimed the likes of Jorrell Hato is one of the dream signings that CHELSEA would like to make before the close of the transfer window.

Since the club brought Enzo Maresca in as coach of the club, alot of things have changed the dynamics of the Premier League and the Blues are now one of the favourites to challenge for that Premier League title next season

Maresca has brought a belief back to the club that has now won two trophies in the last few months, and has also managed to build a squad that is one of the most enjoyable to watch in the English top-flight.

Chelsea have multiple central defensive options already but the report claims that Axel Disasi could leave amid interest from Villarreal. The Blues are hoping to earn around £30m ($40m) if they sell the centre-back, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Aston Villa.

Per talkSPORT recently claimed that we have opened talks over a deal to sign Hato from Ajax as they seek defensive reinforcements this summer.

The club have already recruited no fewer than seven players this summer but their only defensive acquisition has been Mamadou Sarr in a £12 million ($16m) deal from sister club Strasbourg.

Now Football.London says that Hato is one of a number of players that Chelsea would like to sign before the close of the transfer window.

IcChelseanews says…

Hato is quality, he will become world class, he would be a great signing, it is that simple.
