Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea fc news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed from icchelseanews…

Former CHELSEA star Jason Cundy has come out and encouraged the Blues to make a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher

The Reds made the big decision in the summer to wrap up the signing of Mamardashvili amid all the speculation over the long-term future of Alisson, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for months.

Kelleher, 25, has made a total of over 50 first-team appearances for Liverpool, but they have come in dribs and drabs. Last season, he played in 10 Premier League games and is likely to face a similarly reduced role this season behind Alisson until the Brazilian star picked up and injury.

It is no secret that we are looking at adding a new stopper to the side in the upcoming transfer window, and now Cundy has opened up and shockingly claimed that the board should raid Liverpool for the 25-year old.

He was quoted: “What was really evident to me at the weekend was that Chelsea’s No. 1 isn’t as good as Liverpool’s No. 2. Whenever I see Kelleher play, he looks top drawer. Sometimes when you see a No. 2 goalkeeper come in, you might see the defense drop a bit deeper or they’re hesitant to do back passes.

‘Whenever Kelleher’s in goal and he’s played a lot in the last 18 months to two years both in the Carabao Cup and Champions League, he never looks out of place.”

‘Liverpool don’t look any weaker with him in goal and that is a massive compliment by the way. If you’re a Liverpool fan, I know you’ve got [Giorgi] Mamardashvili coming in, but you don’t want Kelleher to go either. He’s too good to be a No. 2. I want him [at CHELSEA ],” he added

ISAK BOOST?

Newcastle United star and long-term CHELSEA target Aleksander Isak is ready to quit the Toon if they fail to achieve Champions League football this season.

Isak, who has only scored once for Newcastle so far this term, has ambitions to keep playing in the Champions League after having a taste at Toon a year ago, but But if Eddie Howe’s side miss out on a top four finish then he could potentially look to leave, with a lack of an extended deal increasing that possibility.

Isak remains under contract until 2028 and preliminary discussions between the Magpies and the star over a new package were held before the summer, but SunSport understands that more talks are NOT currently taking place and there are none pencilled in due to him still having three years left.

Freddie Ljungberg, a two-time Premier League winner, recently claimed Isak can go to another level at the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea or Man City and has described his compatriot as ‘freaking special’.

‘I like Isak. His top level is huge,’ the Arsenal legend told Swedish outlet Expressen.

‘He has these super top qualities that I, as a coach, might look for. I want players who have some super power, then you can put them in special situations and know that they will make a difference.

‘His top qualities are so freaking special that I think he can be even better. He could go all the way up to the absolute top because of the speed he has, the nice finishes and the understanding of the game.

‘This is the player for whom I want things to go so incredibly well. He seems so humble and down to earth, and it feels like he just wants to work hard and play football.

‘I really hope he can take the next step. Newcastle is a good club. There is nothing wrong with that.

‘But at some point I hope he goes to Arsenal, CHELSEA or Man City where he can pour in goals. That’s what I hope.’

MHEUKA SIGNS UP

Academy striker Shumaira Mheuka has put pen to paper on his first professional CHELSEA  contract.

The club posted on the club website: ‘Mheuka became a full-time scholar in the summer and has now signed professional terms following his 17th birthday on Sunday.

He featured regularly for our Under-18s as a schoolboy during the 2023/24 season, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances, including the Premier League national final at Stamford Bridge.

This term, he has stepped up to our Under-21s squad and netted his first goal at that level in the 6-0 win over Fulham at the start of October. He is part of our travelling squad for tonight’s UEFA Conference League clash with Panathinaikos.

Mheuka was an important player for England in the summer’s European Under-17 Championship and marked his first call-up for the Under-19s by scoring against France and the Netherlands this month.

Congratulations, Shumaira!

That board have been making alot of changes for both the womens and mens team over the past few transfer windows, but keeping the clubs talents is somethin that needs to happen.

You may not know too much about the talents of Mheuka – but he is a very good attacking option for the club in the long run and we are sure that he is a player that the board feel can break into the first team at some point.
