Chelsea announce Portuguese deal – Chelsea wants winger – Striker delighted after Chelsea deal confirmed
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed –
CHELSEA are targeting a sensational move for Manchester United star Jadon Sancho before the summer transfer window closes, and are ready to offer him a massive contract to make the move to Stamford Bridge
According to reports in Italy, United have been offering the England international out and are looking to make a profit, and the Blues were offered the chance to sign the 24-year-old.
Old club Borussia Dortmund, where the 24-year-old shone back on loan, have reportedly been priced out of the race as he could cost £50million-plus but according to fussball.news, the Blues are prepared to offer a transfer fee plus two of their academy players.
Another proposal would see the club offering to take Sancho on loan, paying his entire salary which is thought to be near £300,000-a-week. That deal would also include an obligation to buy at the end of the season
Forrmer Liverpool star Glen Johnson recently told Paddy Power: “I think Manchester United and Jadon Sancho should shake hands and call it quits.
“He’s got some talent, but he hasn’t shown it at all at United.
” I don’t know what it is – I don’t know whether he gets on with the players, the manager, or likes Manchester, but as soon as he went back to Borussia Dortmund, he looked like a world-beater again.
It’s almost like he prefers to be the main man in a smaller pond.”
BURSTOW MAKES MOVE –
Young striker Mason Burstow has revealed that he is really excited after the decision was made to allow him to leave CHELSEA this transfer window.
The 21-year-old striker spent last season on loan at Sunderland in the Championship but managed just one goal – against Stoke City – in 20 appearances, though just 12 were starts.
Chelsea made the decision that he could leave the club this transfer window, and once Hull heard the news that he was going to be on the market – quickly made the move and completed the signing of Burstow.
And after officially making the move to Hull City – Burstow opened up and revealed that he is really excited about the move, is looking forward to the season and is keen to make a statement for himself.
Burstow said on the club website: “It’s a big accomplishment for myself. I’m really excited to be here. There’s a real homely feel about the club, with big aspirations, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
“There’s a real project here. The new manager has got a way of playing that is really bright, really attacking and positive.
“I play through the middle and always try to be a threat in the box. I can link play, hold it up and run in behind. Hopefully, there are different avenues the manager can use me.
“Sunderland was a learning curve but hopefully Hull is the place I can kick on and make a statement for myself.”
CHELSEA ANNOUNCE MOREIRA DEAL –
Diego Moreira has completed a permanent transfer to RC Strasbourg from CHELSEA after the decision was made that he would be allowed to leave after failing to make any sort of impact on that Blues first team.
The club have once again been one of the most active sides in the transfer window this summer and have seen alot of players come into the club, and also alot of players leave on loan or on permanent deals.
Moreira was signed by the board in hope that he could develop into a quality player that could have the ability to break into the first-team and play on a regular basis, but he has not quite developed enough.
But now, Moreira has left the club to join RC Strasbourg, who are also owned by BlueCo. The French outfit are managed by former Hull boss Liam Rosenior and he could make his debut against Montpellier on Sunday.
The Blues posted on the club website: ‘Diego completed a loan move to Lyon on transfer deadline day and made nine first-team appearances for the French club before returning to Chelsea in January.
‘Over the remainder of the campaign, Diego established himself as an important figure for our Under-21s and helped the side reach the Premier League 2 play-off semi-finals with a match-winning hat-trick away at Arsenal.
‘Everyone at CHELSEA would like to thank Diego for his contributions throughout his time with the club and wish him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.’
