Jose Gimenez has admitted he loved Chelsea as a child and that he would have liked to have played with Frank Lampard during his career.

We may be getting many in the Premier League excited for the start of next season, especially with the transfer deals that they have already done, but they need to delve into that kitty and land a new central defender.

We conceded more goals at the back than any side in the top 10 of the Premier League, and will not be able to challenge for that title if frank Lampard does not get the defensive players that will improve the side.

And that has led to speculation in the media which have claimed that we are lining up a possible transfer move for the very impressive Gimenez, who is very highly-rated over in La Liga and is also being chased by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Now, amid all the transfer speculation surrounding the player and he has come out and got Blues fans going crazy that a possible deal could take place, although we would have to break the transfer record to get a deal done.

In his latest interview has given the club a boost, with him saying: “I would have liked to play with Lampard. I always used to watch Chelsea as a kid, loved them.”

Chelsea have reportedly been offered Thiago Silva on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Now we all know that Frank Lampard has a very exciting attack that can cause some serious damage for Chelsea, and The likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic and Willian have all shone at an individual level.

But we have looked vulnerable in defence throughout the campaign, and have shipped 54 Premier League goals in total, more than any other club in the top 10, meaning that they will need to add a leader that is ready to help add some world class quality to that back line.

And recent reports have suggested that there could be a deal on the horizon for free agent, and one of the best defenders in the game right now, Thiago Silva.

After a few successful seasons with PSG, Silva is now on the transfer market after failing to agree a new contract with the French giants, meaning that anyone that matches his high wages are free to try and get a deal done.

And The Telegraph claims that Thiago has been offered to the club this summer, as he wants to make that move to the Premier League, the Brazilian is ready to take a huge wage cut on his £300,000-a-week deal at PSG to achieve that.

Now he is set for talks with the club over a potential two-year deal to move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea target James Rodriguez has opened the door to a Premier League move having grown “frustrated” under exile from Real Madrid.

There has been alot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few months which have suggested that we are interested in nailing down the services of Rodriguez in the summer window, although their interest has wavered over the last few weeks.

It is widely believed that Rodriguez will look to leave the Bernabeu in search of first-team football, with the Premier League firmly in his sights, especially as there are a number of clubs interested.

Now, having joined Gareth Bale in being pushed towards the Bernabeu exit door, Rodriguez has now admitted that he is interested in making a move to England in the coming transfer windows.

James told Daniel Habif’s podcast: “Now there are many things, everything is over now, the virus stopped everything.

“There are many clubs that do not have so much, in a few days I know where I am going.

“I still don’t know; Italy, Spain, England. It’s a question that I have and I don’t know, but I do want to go where I can play, where I can be happy and where I feel that I am loved by everyone.

“I’ve already played in France, I’ve been in several good leagues. Only Italy and the Premier League are missing.”

Chelsea youngster Ike Ugbo has signed a new contract with the Blues and agreed to join Belgian outfit Cercle Brugge on loan for 2020-21.

The 21-year-old striker spent last season on loan in the Dutch second division, where He bagged 13 goals in 28 games for Roda JC and his performances meant that we decided to hand him a new contract.

Ugbo’s deal now runs until 2022 at Stamford Bridge and he has been at the club since he was nine, but after signing that contract, he will join the Belgian team that is managed by former Blues coach Paul Clement.

“With the arrival of Ike Ugbo we are strengthening our line of attack in a targeted manner,” said Cercle Brugge chairman Vincent Goemaere.

“Ugbo is a sturdy, strong striker who easily found his way to goal last season when he was loaned out to Roda JC.

“Hopefully, he will show that same instinct at Cercle this season. Welcome Ike! ”

Meanwhile, prospect Trevoh Chalobah has signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

The defender-cum-midfielder will spend 2020-21 in Ligue 1 after playing at Huddersfield last year and there is big hope that he can use the game time in order to help develop his career, with the Chelsea coaching staff having big hopes for the lad.

He announced after arriving at FC Lorient: “The prospect of evolving at the highest level in France and discovering a new culture convinced me,”

These two lads are very exciting so hopefully the loan deals will give them a chance to some back better players.
