CHELSEA FREE TO SIGN OSIMHEN –

Antonio Conte has indicated that Napoli will honour their agreement to sell CHELSEA linked Victor Osimhen this summer.

It is no secret that Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku are quality players – but they are not the type of strikers that will bang in 30 goals a season, something that will help the club get back into the hunt for Champions League football

Osimhen, 25, dreams of playing in the Premier League, according to according to Radio Roma, but Napoli will stand firm on his €130m (£111m) release clause, which has put many clubs off actually making an offer for the big Nigerian star,

Conte addressed the media for the first time on Wednesday since becoming Napoli’s head coach and revealed that he has received assurances that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Frank Anguissa and Stanislav Lobotka will not be sold, however, he could not say the same for Osimhen.

‘As far as Osimhen is concerned, just as I knew very well about the situation of Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, on which I have placed an absolute veto,’ Conte said

‘Having said that, I know what the situation is regarding Osimhen. I know that there are agreements, that it is a situation different from all the others. I can only assist.

‘He is a player of the highest level, exceptional, but I cannot enter into any discussion because it is part of previous agreements which have been clearly stated to me.’

CHELSEA MUST SELL STERLING?

Pundit Glen Johnson believes CHELSEA will have to sell either Raheem Sterling or Mykhailo Mudryk this summer if they want to sign another winger

The 29-year-old England international was one of the first high-profile arrivals of the Todd Boehly era in the summer of 2022 but has failed to live up to such heights since moving to Stamford Bridge.

As a result, it has been speculated recently that the club could look to offload Sterling and his hefty wages this summer and look to sign an immediate replacement that can make more of an impact on the side.#

Mudryk is another player that has failed to impress since his big money move to the club just a few windows ago – and there is a feeling that he is another player that the club are also open to letting leave as he clearly does not have the quality to be at the club.

but Speaking to Betfred, Glen Johnson believes we will have to sell either Raheem Sterling or Mykhailo Mudryk this summer if they want to sign another winger.

“They’ll have to get rid of one of them because I already believe they’ve got too many,” said the former Blues defender. “There’s been a lot of speculation regarding the pair of them and if the decision was mine, I’d keep Raheem.

“If they sign another winger this summer, then they’re going to have to sell someone…”
