Chelsea agree £42M deal – French star will be ‘marquee Chelsea signing – Agent gives Brazilian update
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed –
It has been claimed that Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise would be seen as a marquee signing for Chelsea.
Olise enjoyed a productive season with Crystal Palace despite only playing 19 Premier League games due to an ongoing hamstring injury, as the winger struck 10 goals and provided six assists in the top-flight as Palace finished 10th under Oliver Glasner.
We attempted to trigger the 22-year-old’s release clause last summer but the player ultimately signed a new deal with Palace, but the Blues are expected to delve back into the transfer window for the Frenchman regardless who the new manager is.
According to Give Me Sport, the Blues have agreed personal terms with Olise to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer, and now football.london writer, Kieran Horn has claimed that he would be a marquee signing for the club.
He said: ‘Bringing in Olise would undoubtedly be a marquee transfer for CHELSEA, with the first steps looking to have been taken to agreeing a deal.
‘Negotiating with Crystal Palace could now be the difficult part, especially as £60 million has been claimed to be the starting asking price. With the 22-year-old not heading to this summer’s European championships, talks to agree on a deal are facing no imminent hurdles, which will allow Chelsea to be swift in their pursuit of his services.
‘However, there is a light deadline in place, with Thierry Henry keen to have Olise in his squad for the Olympics, which begins in late July.’
CHELSEA AGREE DURAN TERMS –
CHELSEA have agreed a £42 million deal to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, according to reports in Colombia.
We had expressed an interest in signing Duran in the January transfer window, but failed to get a transfer deal done as Aston Villa had no intention of letting the star leave half way through a very exciting season.
However – the club are in the market for a new striker this summer and according to Colombia’s Guillermo Arango, the club have now reached an agreement with Villa over a £42m transfer fee.
Arango reports that we are now in talks with Duran over his contract.
Speaking last month, Duran’s agent Jonathan Herrera, suggested that the striker was unhappy with his lack of playing time at Villa.
‘He is a player who has a contract with Aston Villa, he ended up doing very well and the coach is counting on him, it is a club that, having got into the Champions League is a great opportunity, but we know he wants to play, he wants to go out and play, we are going to see,’ Herrera told El VBar Caracol.
‘Now the market is opening up, the club is looking at some options and so are we.’

We are sure that Duran is a very good striker and could develop into an even better one – but at the end of the day – he is no better than Nicolas Jackson.
LIMA UPDATE GIVEN –
The agent of Pedro Lima has given CHELSEA fans an update on the possible arrival of the Brazilian talent.
The board have been busy over the past couple of transfer windows and signed alot of players for the future – but despite the fact that they need to sign experienced stars – they are sticking to their transfer policy.
Following the recent links between the Blues and the 17-year-old, outlet Globo Esporte recently brought some interesting updates on the player’s situation, as they claimed that Sport Recife already have ‘official offers’ for his transfer in hand, and one of the clubs who are interested in him is us.
It has since been claimed that we have been trying to get some personal terms sorted in weeks before they can officially wrap up the signing of Lima – but despite advanced talks – his agent has given Blues fans an update.
Pedro Lima’s agent, Joao Marcelo Baros, says: “The stage of the negotiation is not a guarantee that it will materialise.
“Although the negotiation is advanced, it may not materialise if certain barriers are not overcome.
“We may reach an agreement soon, but there are still issues to be solved that are not within our control.”

We are sure that those scouts have been keeping a very close eye on the development of Lima – they have watched him on numerous occasions and are sure that he could make it at the big club.
