Cavani and Silva leaving, Niguez on possible move, Sancho staying at Dortmund, Werner message sent in icchelseanews roundup..

Chelsea target Saul Niguez insists Atletico Madrid remains his home for the time being but refused to completely rule out leaving the club in the future.

The transfer window is still a few months away and there is still alot of football to be played before players can be signed, but that has not stopped speculation in the media linking the us with a number of possible signings.

And one man that has been constantly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, is that of Niguez, who is regarded as one of the finest midfielders in Europe right now and is valued at over £120 million.

However, the 25-year-old Spain international has revealed he has not been in contact with any club about a possible summer move, and is happy at the club for the time being.

“I see things on Instagram or in newspapers which you publish, but I haven’t heard anything from any club,” he told Radio Marca.

“I have a long-term contract, which I signed because I want to stay here.

“I don’t have any problem staying here because my family are here, it’s my home. People say, ‘come out and deny it’, but then if you deny it and something happens, you look bad.

“I just stick to playing football and what has to happen will happen. I’m just focused on achieving Atletico’s target, which is to be in the top four, and then try to get the most desired target of the season.”

Chelsea will be on alert after PSG confirmed record scorer Edinson Cavani and Brazil centre-back Thiago Silva are on the way in August.

As we have said before, the whole world is gripped by the Coronavirus outbreak that is stopping everything from running smoothly, killing thousands and stopping us from enjoying the game we love on a weekly basis.

We may have the likes of Tammy Abraham up top, and may have the brilliant Timo Werner coming in, but top clubs like us know that there is always room to have world class players in the squad.

Now it seems that we are free to offer Cavani, or even Thiago Silva a contract in the summer, after PSG opened up and confirmed that the pair will be leaving the club in August.

PSG Director of football Leonardo said on L’EQUIPE: “Cavani and Thiago Silva? Yes, we are coming to the end.

“It was a very difficult decision. These are players who have marked the history of the club.

“Their stories were so beautiful. But yes, we are coming to the end.

“We had to make a logical decision, economically speaking and with regard to the generation that is coming through.”

Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool will regret their decision to step away from a deal to sign Chelsea bound striker Timo Werner,

Liverpool were seemingly the favourites to bring Timo Werner to the club, with Jurgen Klopp a huge fan, and the German striker seemingly interested in making that move to Anfield.

However, Reports have revealed that it will be us that bring Timo Werner to the club in the summer after agreeing to meet his £54 million release clause, and now Liverpool legend Carragher has given his verdict on their move to pull out of the Werner deal.

“Without the pandemic, I’m sure Liverpool would have signed Werner,” Said Carragher on Sky Sports

“Everyone knows that Liverpool’s front three are as good as anything in the world right now, but Werner would have played a lot of games next season.

“There were suggestions that he was unsure over a move to Liverpool because he might not play every week, but look at what is coming up next season and it highlights why it would have been very difficult for Klopp to convince him to come and assure him that he would play a lot of matches.

“There was due to be an Olympics this summer and Mo Salah was due to play in that, which would have meant he missed the start of next season.

“After that, Salah and Mane are due to play in the African Cup of Nations next February, which means Liverpool will need back-up players to play for long periods. That is before you throw in squad rotation and injuries.

“So there would have been opportunities for Timo Werner to play in the first team in a regular basis. He could have started 10 or 12 games guaranteed and you are talking about 25 or 30 games overall with everything I have mentioned.

“With the Olympics not happening this summer, doubts over whether the African Cup of Nations will go ahead and the financial hit Liverpool have taken due to the pandemic, the decision was made not to sign Werner, but I would like to have seen them push through with the deal. It clearly looked like the player wanted to come to Liverpool.”

Chelsea target Jadon Sancho will STAY at Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to an official from the German club.

There has been alot of speculation in the media suggesting that we are willing to splash around £100 million in the summer to try and acquire the services of Sancho, who has become one of the most exciting wingers in the Bundesliga over the last few seasons.

It has been claimed over the past few days THAT ROMAN ABRAMOVIC WILL GET THE CHEQUE-BOOK OUT in the summer window and bring Sancho to the premier League for a fee of around £100 million.

But as quick as those transfer rumours popped up, Dortmund have moved to shut them down after Dortmund’s head of club licensing, Sebastian Kehl, believes the Manchester City academy product will spend the next year in Germany.

Club legend Kehl, who won three titles and helped the club reach the Champions League final, told Sky Deutschland: “We expect Jadon to play with us next year.”

Look, until the transfer window is closed and the players announces that he does not want to leave, there will continue to be alot of transfer speculation about where he will end up in the coming months.

But until Sancho comes out and reveals that he has no intention of leaving Dortmund, there is always a chance for us to conclude a transfer deal
