Cassano opens up and announces AC Milan ‘crazy’ for letting Higuain join Chelsea this month
Former Italy international Antonio Cassano has said that AC Milan would be crazy to let Gonzalo Higuain leave the club, as he wants the move to Chelsea.
With so much creativity in midfield, Maurizio Sarri has made it his mission this January window to try and acquire the services of a new striker to help guide the club back into the Champions League spots and maybe pick up some silverware.
[the_ad id=”164″]And despite being linked with moves for Mauro Icardi and Callum Wilson, Sarri has seemingly sealed a deal to bring Higuain to the Premier League in the coming weeks, but Cassano has told Milan that they would be crazy to let goal-machine Higuain leave the club.
“For me it’d be madness to sell Higuain,” Cassano told Sky Sports Italia.
“He’s their only decent player, their only champion, and one of the best strikers in the world. I would never get rid of him.
“If Milan are having problems it’s because they don’t have players who can give him the right ball. His movement on the pitch is great, but no one gives him service – that’s why he wants to go to Chelsea. He’s having difficulties but he’s not finished. He’s always able to score and make a difference.”
Are Milan crazy to let Higuaín move to us?
On his day Higuaín can be one of the most deadly strikers in the game and will score goals for Sarri, as he loves working for the Italian boss. But he is having serious problems adapting to life at Milan and simply doesn’t fit the system.
So yes they may be a little crazy for letting him leave, especially since they do not have a ready-made replacement, but we don’t care as long as he comes here and scores the goals.
