Chelsea target ‘has played last game’ for the club – boss admits
Roberto De Zerbi has been speaking about the future of Alexis Mac Allister and CHELSEA target Moises Caicedo amid strong speculation about their futures –
The season is now over for Chelsea – and although they will not be winning that Premier League title – they at least now have a top class manager arriving.
That has led to rumours in the media which has suggested that Caicedo is a man that is on the agenda of Pochettino after a stunning season for Brighton this campaign.
Caicedo went public with his desire to join move in the January window and after a brief exile from Roberto de Zerbi’s side, returned to play a key role in the second-half of the season with Brighton securing European qualification this term.
Now – amid the speculation that Chelsea will once again make a move for the man at the end of the season – De Zerbi has admitted that Caicedo and Mac Allister may have played their last games for the club.
He told Sky Sports “I think it can be the last game of Alexis and Caicedo. I’m really sorry, because they are two great great players…
“I think it can be the last game for Alexis [Mac Allister] & Moises Caicedo.
“I am really sorry because they are two great players, but the policy of Brighton is like this. It is right that they can leave, they can play at a higher level.”
