In-demand Powerhouse ‘has said yes’ to joining Chelsea
Moises Caicedo has reportedly ‘said yes’ to the project on offer at Chelsea , transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed.
Caicedo is a player that the club have been linked with for the last couple of months and have been trying to get a transfer deal done for the midfielder.
However – the issue has been that massive asking price that Brighton have placed on the head of Caciedo – they want a staggering £100 million for their star man, and we are not keen to pay that amount.
But that does not mean that Personal terms have not been agreed, because if you believe the words of Romano, Caicedo has already accepted the project that is happening at Stamford Bridge.
WHAT HAS ROMANO SAID –
Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “Chelsea hope to get the deal done for around £70million or £80million, with some loans included.
“Let’s see because, with Brighton, it is always tough. But the discussion is ongoing and Caicedo already said yes to the Chelsea project, so the negotiation is on. Let’s wait and see.”
IS CAICEDO WORTH THE MONEY?
We have said it before and we will say it again – Caicedo is a wonderfully gifted midfielder that has the potential to be a top Premier League player – but he is not worth the money that is being talked about.
The club have been spending crazy money over the last couple of transfer windows – and although they have made some of that cash back this summer – spending £100 million on Caicedo would be a mistake.
