GUYS HERE IS A ROUNDUP OF OUR TOP STORIES OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS.

Chelsea should jump in and sign Philippe Coutinho if Bayern Munich do not exercise their option to buy the Barcelona man.

Coutinho made a name for himself at Liverpool as one of the best creative midfielders in the game and Barcelona were determined to acquire his services as the long-term replacement for Andreas Iniesta.

However, his move to the Camp Nou has not gone down as well as many had hoped and after the arrival of Antoine Griezmann, he has fallen well down the pecking order, meaning that he was shipped out o Bayern Munich on a loan basis.

The former Liverpool man has impressed in patches with the Bundesliga champions, having an hand in over 20 goals this season for the dominant German Champions.

But according there is a feeling that Bayern may not take up the opportunity to sign Coutinho on a permanent basis, meaning we could swoop in for a possible deal.

Look there is a lot of indications suggesting that Willian is leaving, and although that is a massive mistake by the clubto let him leave, if they could tempt Coutinho to the club at the end of the season, it would be a fantastic move.

We have an exciting side, but they need to add some world class talent, and for the £100 million that he is on the market for, it could be a great move for the Blues.

Hertha Berlin have signed Poland striker and Chelsea target Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan on a long-term contract

Tammy Abraham is our top goalscorer this season, however, the England international is struggling with an ankle injury and that means that we only have Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud as the clubs only options up top.

And according to reports Lampard demanded the club sign a new striker last month, as the former midfielder urged technical director Petr Cech and director Marina Granovskaia to back him in the transfer window, as Lampard felt the west London club must spend to secure a place in the top four this season.

And according to reports, if Frank Lampard offloaded Olivier Giroud to Inter Milan during the January window, then they may bid for the striker at rivals AC, with reports suggesting Stefano Pioli’s side were keen to do a £25 million deal.

However, we decided not to do any transfer business during the transfer window, and in the end, missed out on the very powerful young striker and even decided to keep hold of Giroud, despite reports he was keen to leave.

Now it seems that they have missed out on the gifted Piatek, as the striker will now play under former Spurs striker Jurgen Klinsmann, the head coach at Hertha.

“Krzysztof is an incredibly dangerous attacker who has shown his quality at the highest level,” said Hertha sporting director Michael Preetz.

Chelsea youngster Charlie Brown managed to secure a late deadline day loan move away from the club

Fans were fed a lot of transfer talk over the last few weeks as it seemed that Frank Lampard was going to do a whole load of business to improve the side and give the club more of a chance to get back inside the top four.

But despite all the speculation and rumours in the media, the boss failed to get any transfer business for first team players done, and instead the Blues secured a number of deals for the academy players instead.

Now, we have managed to secure a loan deal for the talented Brown, who has five goals in 18 appearances this season for our development squad side, as he is joining Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. It is his first loan.

Brown joined us from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2016 and enjoyed a prolific maiden season for the Under-18s, notching 10 goals in 20 league appearances, most of which were as a substitute. That form was rewarded with a development squad debut before the end of the campaign.

Last season Brown was topscorer across our Academy sides with 20 goals from 31 appearances. He signed a new contract in October 2018, committing him to Chelsea until the summer of 2021.
