Brand New Chelsea signing ‘excited’ after completing Stamford Bridge move

Goalkeeper Livia Peng has admitted that she is delighted with the move to CHELSEA, after the Blues announced that the 23-year old has now joined.
The 23-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Blues after impressing over two seasons as Werder Bremen’s first-choice stopper.
Peng has said she has dreamed of moving to Chelsea since she was 10 years old and explained how she has long made sacrifices to achieve that goal: ‘I was at home with my parents until I was 13, then I moved out to join a football academy in another part of Switzerland,’ she explained. ‘It was three and a half hours away. I lived there during the week, then I went home at weekends, and my family supported me a lot. I learned fast to do my own thing.
‘It was cool because my aim was always to be a footballer – that was the only thing in my mind. Being away from home wasn’t hard for me because of my ambition and I wanted to do everything I could to reach it.
‘I love challenges, but I also like to feel at home. I’ve had a lot of experiences and seen different cultures, different people, different clubs, different languages. I’ve learned a lot but now I’m ready to enjoy being here.
‘It’s not always easy to move, but I try to be open, talk with people and adapt quickly. I think learning English will be a bit difficult at the beginning, but I’m learning and improving. I’m excited.’
‘I would say I’m an active goalkeeper,’ she continued. ‘I try to give options to the defenders or midfielders as much as possible. I’m good in 1v1 situations. I also try to enjoy the game. I love being in the game and moving around rather than standing still.
‘My personal goal is to adapt to the team quickly, to try to get to know everybody and have fun and be happy on the pitch. Then, of course, it’s about winning titles. I’m ambitious and want to win every game.
‘I’m excited about everything. I’m looking forward to meeting the team, the staff, and everyone at the club. The support here is so big, I can’t wait to play at Stamford Bridge.
‘I’m excited to meet the fans at the stadium. I’ve heard so many good things about them. I’m looking forward to seeing what the Chelsea family is like. I want to feel their passion and support.’
