Boss Tells Chelsea Brilliant 23-Goal Target May Make Transfer Move
New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim believes hat-trick hero and long-term CHELSEA target Viktor Gyokeres could follow him out of Sporting CP at the end of the season.
This season, he has already scored 23 goals in just 17 appearances, recently bagging a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League and continuing to make a real name for himself at the Portuguese giants.
We are just one clubs that are reportedly ready to splash the cash and bring the in-demand striker to the Premier League, and it is looking much more likely that a transfer happens after the departure of Amorim.
Amorim’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya revealed in the summer that Gyokeres was only at Sporting because of Amorim, and now the incoming Red Devils boss has claimed that the striker may also decide to leave the Portuguese giants.
After Sporting CP thrashed Manchester City in the Champions League, the Portuguese coach told TNT Sports, “I can’t make fun of it, right now, it was hard for me to leave, if I start joking about this Gyokeres situation I’ll get in trouble.
‘This is my city, this is my country, so I’ll respect it. Viktor has to stay until the end of the season, and then his life maybe is going somewhere else.”
