Boss reveals if £50M star joining Chelsea, Blues confirms striker deal, Chelsea told £65M fee will get deal done

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from icchelseanews that we think you guys may have missed featuring Alejandro Garnacho, Matheus Cunha and Jimmay-Jay Morgan…
Wolves manager Vitor Pereira insists Matheus Cunha is not for sale and has not asked to leave the club, amid interest from the likes of CHELSEA over the past few weeks.
Cunha has been in brilliant form this season for Wolves and there has been alot of speculation that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in a move when the January window opens up in just a few days time.
And with the transfer window still open and there may be a chance to sign the Brazilian, we appear to be one of those clubs who have been drawn to Cunha and that are ready to make an offer for the star, with CaughtOffside reporting that the Blues are interested in him.
Pereira, however, says he does not expect Cunha to leave and the forward has made no indication that he wants to: “He knows what I want from him as a captain. Everything is sorted, he’s ready and committed for the game and to help the team.
“He’s my player. I think he’s not for sale. He’s committed to us and what we need from him.
“He’s never asked me to leave the club. He wants to help the team and be with us to try and win the game.”

We are sure that Cunha would be a good option to come off the bench for Maresca, he has had a very good season for Wolves this year, but is he really any better than what the club already have? We do not think so.
MORGAN DEAL DONE
CHELSEA forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Gillingham, the Blues have now announced on the club website this weekend
The Blues posted on the club website: ‘The 19-year-old joined the Blues in February 2023 from Southampton and has predominantly played for our Under-21 side.
‘An England youth international, Morgan has featured ten times in Premier League 2 this season and has struck six goals. He will now continue his development with the Gills.
‘Good luck, Jimmy-Jay.’
Gillingham posted: ‘John Coleman has added to his attacking options with the capture of Jimmy-Jay Morgan on loan from Premier League giants Chelsea.
‘The 19-year-old joins the Gills on a loan deal until the end of the season and is eligible for selection ahead of Saturday’s game at Tranmere Rovers.
‘The striker came through the youth ranks at Chelsea but joined Southampton at the age of 11, scoring 27 goals for the U16’s and 13 times for the U18 age group, before making his first-team debut in an EFL Trophy tie against Forest Green in August 2022.
‘He played twice more for the Saints in the same competition before returning to Stamford Bridge in February of 2023 for an undisclosed fee. He scored for the Blues, his first senior goal, against MK Dons in a Vertu trophy tie at Stadium MK.
‘He played three further times in the tournament last year for CHELSEA, starting in the game against Cambridge at the Abbey Stadium. The striker has played on the international stage too, featuring for England at U16, U17 and U18 levels.
‘This season he has scored six times in ten Premier League 2 appearances for The Blues.
‘Gillingham will be Jimmy’s first loan spell away from the Premier League side, and could play a part this weekend.’
GARNACHO MESSAGE SENT
Kris Boyd has claimed that Ruben Amorim does not want to sell CHELSEA target Alejandro Garnacho this January transfer window, but will in order to raise funds to improve the squad.
The club were expected to add a bit more quality to that attack this transfer window, with many believing that a new striker was something that Enzo Maresca wanted to add to his side by February the 3rd.
However – it seems that a winger is on the agenda of the Blues, if you believe reports, as Garnacho is a player that we have shown an interest in signing over recent days after learning that he could be sold by Manchester United.
And according to pundit Boyd, Man United will allow Garnacho to leave the club in order to help raise some fund, he said: “I think for Garnacho it’s an opportunity. You go back to the start when Ruben Amorim came in – any manager will tell you – there is a clean slate there when new managers arrive at football clubs, but if you don’t tow the party line and put in the performances to keep yourself involved in the first team you’re going to find yourself out of it.
“That’s exactly what’s happened with Marcus Rashford, yes, there are probably things bubbling away with that one, but Garnacho, you kind of get the feeling that if he has to go it might be to generate fuds for Manchester United to go and spend elsewhere.
“I don’t think Ruben Amorim wants to lose Garnacho but it might be that he has to in order to strengthen his squad.”
