Boss issues transfer statement on striker Chelsea looking to sign for £60M this January

Thomas Frank has warned Bryan Mbeumo’s suitors that they have next to no chance of signing the Brentford striker in January, with the likes of CHELSEA are keen.

The January transfer window is now open, it will give the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool an opportunity to delve into that transfer kitty and sign players that will add some depth to the side as they all have long seasons ahead of them.

Mbeumo has been in sensational form for Brentford this season,  He has scored 10 goals thus far this term but he has a contract until 2026, but has been tipped to make that move and step up in the game.

However – amid the speculation and rumours, Frank has ruled out the prospect of a mid-season departure: “[What would I say to] those clubs in January? I would say good luck,” Frank told reporters this week

“We love Bryan, he loves playing here. He’s had a fantastic season so nothing will happen [in January].”

Even though there will be alot of transfer rumours over the next few weeks, we are pretty sure that Mbeumo will not leave Brentford this January window and will stay until the summer window.

And to be honest, he would only be brought in to add some depth to that attack, he is not better than what the club already have and will probably struggle to make any sort of impact on the squad.
