Cech gives green light for deal to happen, Boss delighted with Ampadu deal, Havertz message sent and Umtiti on the market in icchelseanews roundup..
Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director Rudi Voller believes Chelsea new-boy Kai Havertz to shine at Stamford Bridge.
After many months of transfer speculation, rumours and frustration from the fans, we finally managed to secure a transfer deal to bring Havertz to the Premier League in a deal worth £71 million.
He became the clubs second most expensive signing when he put pen to paper on that £71 million deal, and is regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe after a stunning season in the Bundesliga saw him net an impressive 18-goals.
He is expected to walk straight into the style and learn alot from Frank Lampard, and Voller has an exciting parting gift for fans.
Voller has opened up and told fans that Havertz is already world class and has even backed the German to be a star for the club, he told the BILD website: “Kai Havertz is already world class, certainly one of the best to have ever played for Bayer 04.
“In the coming years, Kai will prove what a great footballer he is in the extremely demanding English league.”
Sheffield United have completed the signing of Ethan Ampadu on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea.
In 2018, the now 13 times capped Wales international, penned a new five-year deal in the capital and was sent out on-loan to RB Leipzig by Frank Lampard to further his development last season.
The former Exeter City star has been playing more for Wales than any club side and was a class act in their win over Finland, which prompted United to make their move and take him on-loan this season.
United have made a third signing of the day, with Chris Wilder adding a versatile Welsh international to his squad.

Upon sealing the deal, Blades boss Chris Wilder said on the Sky Sports w#website: “Ethan is an outstanding young player for Chelsea, and we’ve worked really hard to get his signature for the season.
“We need to thank Frank Lampard and the people at Chelsea for helping making this happen. We’ve got a good relationship with them and they know we’re going to take good care of him.
“It’s an important season for Ethan and playing in the Premier League for us is a good move for everyone. He brings a lot of qualities to the group and he’s someone we’ve tracked for two or three seasons.”
Burton manager Jake Buxton revealed Chelsea legend Petr Cech gave the green light for a move to be completed for stopper Teddy Sharman-Lowe.
Sharman-Lowe joined the Brewers in 2017 from Leicester and enjoyed a breakout 2019-20 campaign as he was called up to Burton’s first-team and attracted the attention of England’s youth scouts.
The teenage shot-stopper has signed a three-year deal with the club and is obviously excited about what his future now holds, but for now he is staying put for another season in order to get some first-team experience.
Now, Buxton revealed legend Petr Cech gave the green light for a move to be completed and has claimed he had been monitoring Sharman-Lowe over the off-season.
“Teddy joined us as a first-year pro when he turned 17 and this is an amazing situation he has found himself in. When we were approached in the off-season, we arranged for Chelsea’s Head of Recruitment to see him play and Petr Cech came to watch him as well,” Duxton said on the club website
“We had a conversation with Teddy and his parents and said if he can stay with us and develop that would be great, and he’s proved he’s more than capable of being an important part of the goalkeeping mix here this season.
“He’s a cracking player but he’s also a smashing lad, his parents should be proud of how he is growing up.”
Barcelona are reportedly looking to sell defender Samuel Umtiti FOR FREE this summer – with Chelsea linked with a move still.
Frank Lampard has been no fool this transfer window and has managed to acquire all the players that he feels will come into the side and make the club challengers for that Premier League title.
We shipped too many goals last season and were in need of adding a new defender to the side, which Lampard sorted out by bringing in Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell, but the former is only a short-term solution and and they are still being linked with Umtiti.
The Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order at the Nou Camp over the last few seasons, and reports suggested Barcelona are willing to allow him to depart the club for the right amount of money.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the centre-back is not in Ronald Koeman’s plans for the upcoming season at the Nou Camp and they are now seeking to get the Frenchman off the books for free this summer.
Now New Barca boss Ronald Koeman is set for a summer clear out, and Umtiti is one who could go out the door, according to recent reports, Umtiti could be all set for a move to the Premier League
Look, we were once fans of Umtiti and believed that he could have been a big player for us back in the day, but for now, he is not the right kind of signing unless we could get him for a real bargain.
