Aguero urged to make Chelsea move, Werner makes big claim and Chelsea make Pjanic contact in Chelsea latest…
Timo Werner believes that Chelsea can repeat their FA Cup heroics against Manchester City and become “the best team in the world”
An all-English showpiece has been lined up in elite European competition after Chelsea breezed past Real Madrid and City beat off a a very Gifted PSG side in the semi-finals, and many are expecting it to be one of the best finals in recent history.
And Werner believes those at Stamford Bridge can secure themselves a spot at the very top of the global game: “We know that we can do it.
“We saw in a game like City when we won in the FA Cup semi-final. We did it so often this season against good teams. It means we have no fear in any final.
“You have to be honest and say that City is maybe the best team in the world at the moment. You want to play against the best.
“We are in the Champions League final and it is normal that you play against the best team and maybe we can win this game and we can become the best team in the world for this year.
“I think our team can win against every team in the world and we showed it against Man City. They will know about the semi-final, they will remember it.
“They will give everything for the title because it’s their first final. Like a lot of players in our team it is their first final. We will give everything to the end.”
We have the squad, we have the manager! i would be surprised if we didnt win the thing.
Chelsea have contact Barcelona about unhappy midfielder Miralem Pjanic, reports from Spain have now been reporting.
Pjanic only joined Barcelona from Juventus in 2020 but has struggled to make his mark at the Camp Nou. He has only started six times in La Liga this season and has been on the fringes since Ronald Koeman arrived at the club.
Thomas Thuchel will be hoping that his very impressive side will be able to beat Leicester in the FA Cup Final and then Manchester City in the Champions League to end his season with some very big trophies.
But he knows that he will need to improve the squad at the end of the season add a few players to the squad that will give him something different for next season, and Pjanic has reportedly joined the list of transfer targets that he reportedly wants
[the_ad id=”164″]And according to Spanish outlet Sport, they have contacted Barcelona to see if Pjanic would be available to sign this summer.
However, we will not have it all their own way as there are reports in the media that a number of clubs are also eyeing up a possible deal in the transfer window.
Look, Tuchel has done a brilliant job this season at the club and many people are very impressed by what they have seen from the man, but if he can get Pjanic, it will add a bit more quality to that midfield.
He is world class and for the right money, he would be a player that we would love to see at the club guys.
Ian Wright has urged Sergio Aguero to pick Chelsea as his next club after he leaves Manchester City at the end of the season.
If Thomas Tuchel cannot get a deal done for Erling Haaland, then There has also been some rumours in the media which has suggested that we maybe keen to swoop in and offer Aguero a chance to stay in the Premier League.
Despite being a legend at City, Aguero is a man that will be seeking a fresh challenge in the summer after failing to agree a new contract, and Wright has told the striker that he should make a move to the Bridge.
‘I think that decision has come from Pep Guardiola, Pep Guardiola doesn’t want him there anymore,’ Wright said on the Metro. ‘I heard his [Guardiola’s] interview [after the Crystal Palace win], “What a goal, what an action, what a player, what a man, I’m incredibly delighted he’s back”, none of that makes sense to me. The fact we now know he’s leaving, it doesn’t make sense.
‘He was so sharp against Crystal Palace. How a player of that calibre, as good as he is, is not starting against PSG [in the Champions League semi-final first leg] when you saw the chances they created where they didn’t have a No.9, you saw the way he took his chance against Palace, you’re thinking, you need a half-chance taker.
‘We’re talking about going into the next phase for Pep to go into that place where he should be [winning the Champions League], where he’s gone with Barcelona but he needs to do it with another team.
‘You’re going into that situation without arguably one of the greatest strikers. It doesn’t make sense that he’s leaving.’
‘Can I throw something out there? He should go to Chelsea,’ Wright added.
‘When you look at Edinson Cavani [at Manchester United] and the pace of the guys behind him, you look at Luis Suarez at Atleti, the pace and everything they’ve got around him. ‘Can you imagine Aguero up top for Chelsea with Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, all those guys, [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, [Christian] Pulisic around him, that’s 25 goals.
‘Me, if I’m Chelsea and I can get him for free, I’m going in. ‘I’ve fabricated this all in my head that he’s vexed with Pep [Guardiola] and it’s the kind of thing where he’ll say, “Yes, I’m going to go to Chelsea”.
