Big name completes first part of Chelsea medical ahead of announcement

Joao Felix is closing in on a move to CHELSEA after reportedly completing the first part of his medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Felix is expected to sign a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge after agreeing personal terms with the Blues. The 24-year-old spent the second half of the 2022/23 season, scoring four goals in 20 games.
The Portugal international was offered to the club after Samu Omorodion’s proposed move to England collapsed. Conor Gallagher will move the other way and finally secure his move to Spain after turning down three contract offers from the club.
Felix’s move has only intensified the doubts and confusion over the clubs spending. When Felix returns to west London, Enzo Maresca will have more options than he would like.
reporter Iomie Stanley believes that fans are right to be skeptical about a move for ‘talented’ star – and this is just the Blues board making more decisions that are costing the club – “£161 million on players that are not ready to make any sort of impact on the club this season, that is what that CHELSEA board have been signing.
“I think with Pedro Neto, fans will think ‘yes!’. at least the club have signed someone that can make an impact on the side this season – have signed a player that is worth the money.
“I like Joao Felix, I think he’s such a talented footballer but for whatever reason, there always seems to be something missing – he just isnt good enough to play for one of the top clubs.
