World class striker ‘has asked to leave’ with sensational Chelsea links
CHELSEA target Karim Benzema has reportedly asked to leave Al-Ittihad “due to pressure” amid links with a sensational transfer to the Premier League
There has been alot of transfer speculation regarding the club over the past few months, as many believe that a new striker will make the move too Stamford Bridge at some point this transfer window.
Some big names have been linked with a move to London – but so has the name of Karim Benzema – who decided to ditch European football just six months ago and make the move to Saudi Arabian football for the money.
But according to L’Equipe, the striker is expected to stay in Saudi Arabia despite the recent rumours., and the report adds that those around the 36-year-old say he feels good and will remain with Al-Ittihad
However – to L’Equipe now say that Benzema has sought permission to leave Al-Ittihad, so that he can reignite his career elsewhere.

The Real Madrid legend remains adamant about leaving the Middle East and has insisted that he is “unable to give the best version of himself due to the pressure” as the scrutiny and criticism from fans and pundits have intensified since his move to the Gulf State – as L’Equipe adds.

Benzema to us made sense a few seasons ago when the Frenchman was still at the top of his game and scoring goals – but those days are gone and to be honest – it would be just a waste of money to get the man signed up now.
