Stamford Bridge move on? Impressing Benrahma tells Chelsea of Premier League dream
Brentford forward Said Benrahma has told Chelsea of his ambition to play in the Premier League.
Winger Benrahma is one of the most in-form players in English football right now and his performances have been catching the eye of a number of Premier League sides over the past few months having been involved in 12 goals since the beginning of 2019.
[the_ad id=”164″]We have sent scouts to watch the young man on a regular basis and will continue to monitor his progress over the next few months, as they plan for a summer spending spree which will elevate us back into challenging for the Premier League title.
Maurizio Sarri will be facing a transfer back after the summer window and knows he may need to spend big money to keep hold of his biggest stars and also keep our challenge up at the very top of the English game.
Speaking in the wake of Saturday’s defeat of Hull City, in which he scored his first career hat-trick, Benrahma opened the door to playing in the top flight, saying: “It took me some time to adjust and adapt to the Championship.
“and now I do feel a lot more comfortable playing here and in this division. Things are going really well.
“I was obviously delighted to get the goals, and to do it in such a great team performance made it very special. It is the first hat-trick I have ever scored, and something that I will always remember – it makes you pleased and proud.
“Our objective now for the rest of the season is to finish as high as we can and continue to climb the table.
“And for me personally I would love to play in the Premier League one day, and I don’t see any reason why that can’t be with Brentford. Any player wants to test themselves at the highest level.”
