Bayern open door for Haaland Chelsea deal, Neymar sends huge message, Chelsea getting regular Alaba updates, Sancho to sign for Chelsea?
Sancho a Chelsea fan, Bayern open door for Haaland deal, Neymar message sent and Chelsea get Alaba updates in icchelseanews roundup…
Chelsea have been handed a boost in their chase to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Dortmund won the race to sign Haaland from Salzburg last January and he has made a stellar start to his career at Signal Iduna Park, scoring 27 goals in 29 games in all competitions for the club.
However, there has been alot of speculation in the media that we are one of a number of clubs that believe Haaland would be the dream signing to make, despite the fact that they already have Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham.
It is likely that Haaland will eventually leave Dortmund at some point in his career, but it has been claimed that a move to Bayern Munich could be on the cards if the club are unable to meet the asking price of the young man.
However, Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinze Rummenigge has praised the contribution of striker Robert Lewandowski to his team over the past year, saying the club do not need to consider signing Erling Haaland from rivals Borussia Dortmund.
The Poland international striker scored 55 times in 47 matches last season as Bayern dominated both the domestic and European scene. He has continued that remarkable form into the 2020-21 campaign, with 15 goals coming in 15 games plus five assists.
Rummenigge told Tuttosport of Lewandowski: “We don’t need Haaland as we have Lewandowski, but he’s an animal, he’s scoring a lot of goals, he deserves the Golden Boy [award].”
Rummenigge is worried the coronavirus crisis, which caused the cancellation of the Ballon d’Or this year, will overshadow the forward’s achievements.
“Robert was the best of them all in 2020,” he said. “He scored a lot of goals and won five trophies. It was really impossible to do better than him.
“I called Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, and point out that it’s not nice that in 2020, without the Ballon d’Or, there will be a hole in the roll of honour for the best player in the world.
“The most important leagues, despite the coronavirus, have come to an end and the strongest players have made a difference even during the time of Covid-19. Lewandowski most of all.”
Neymar has told the likes of Chelsea that the idea of leaving PSG has not even crossed his mind.
Neymar, who joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 in a world-record €222 million transfer, has been frequently linked with a move away from the French giants, But so far he has not been tempted to pack his bags and leave the club.
It is believed that Neymar needs to make the move to the Premier League of La Liga to be considered one of the very best players in the game, and with our club being a long-term admirer of the Brazilian, they have been constantly linked with a transfer move.
But The 28-year-old, whose contract at PSG expires at the end of next season, revealed after the match against Basaksehir that he now sees his long-term future at Parc des Princes.
“I am very happy here in Paris. I am very happy at the club, with my team-mates,” Neymar told RMC Sport
“The idea of leaving does not occur to me. We have to discuss [my contract]. We have a very good relationship, I am very happy and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Neymar is world class, so it is a shame that he is content to play in a League that is dominated by just one team, it just shows that he has no desire to be the absolute best player in world football.

Since making his first-team debut under Louis van Gaal in 2010, Alaba has gone on to make almost 400 appearances for the club in all competitions, and in that time, he has won nine Bundesliga titles, five DFB-Pokals and the Champions League.
However, it is no secret in the media that Alaba is not happy with the contract offer that has been offered by Bayern, and there has been many reports in the media which have suggested that he could be leaving the side on a free transfer.
We are interested in a potential deal for Alaba, according to reports, as Frank Lampard knows that he needs to keep adding world class players to his squad in order to be challenging for all the major trophies.
Now, Eurosport report on the board being kept in the loop with the player’s representatives said to be expecting a chunky fee for the move.
However, Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently insisted that the door is still open for Alaba to stay at the club.
HITC quote Herr Rummenigge as telling Sky Germany: “David Alaba has been with FC Bayern for over twelve years, he has been an important player over the years.
“He has won an incredible number of titles with us, has been two triple winners with us.
“It is important to that you put the quality of the player and also of the people in the right light. “
“If David wants to stay at Bayern, which I am not ruling out entirely, the door is still ajar.
“Then you have to think about finding a way that is easy on the face for both parties.”
Jadon Sancho could play under Frank Lampard at Chelsea next season after revealing he was a boyhood Blues fan.
After emerging as one of the most exciting talents in world football and netting over 20 goals last season for the German outfit, Sancho was heavily linked with a transfer move to Old Trafford.
There were many reports that there were talks between the two clubs, that Sancho was keen to make the move to Old Trafford, and that United di not want to meet the £100 million valuation, which all led to Sancho staying put.
But it looks like it could be us that will lead the chase to try and get a deal done for the talented young man, as in an interview with the Telegraph in 2019, Sancho was asked if he supported Chelsea, he responded: “Yeah, it’s correct. I’m not going to lie.”
Lampard already has an embarrassment of attacking riches to pick from in West London after splashing over £230m during the summer on the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz.
But with the club massive fans of the winger, it would be seen as another chink in the attack that Lampard would be keen to add too.
Look, we do not really need to spend £100 million to bring the young man to the club, but at the end of the day, he is the type of player that has the ability to go on and become one of the very best wingers in world football.
If there is a chance for us to get some sort of transfer deal done, we would be quite foolish to not even make a move
