Superstar alert! Barcelona to sell Chelsea target Coutinho for just £85 million

Barcelona have set an asking price for unhappy Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho is looking very unhappy at the Camp Nou this season after losing his place in the starting line-up and there has been widespread speculation that he could leave the Spaniards at the end of the season, just after two years after he left Liverpool.

Coutinho has not fulfilled his potential at Barcelona and that has led to speculation that we could make a move in the coming transfer window, before the club were hit with a massive transfer ban for some iffy deals a few seasons ago.

But he will not come cheap as the Calciomercato website has claimed that Barcelona are willing to do a transfer deal for Coutinho in the summer, but will not take anything less than £85 million for the Brazilian magician.

The Spaniards paid over £150 million to secure Coutinho’s signature from Liverpool but know his performances are not at the same level and are reportedly ready to take a hit this summer.

Here is what we think on Coutinho.

Coutinho is world class and it is a massive shock to see that he simply cannot get to grips with the dizzy heights of La Liga, but he will surely fight for his future at the Camp Nou as it was his dream move to get the switch to Barcelona.

He could have been a world class addition to the side, especially since Eden Hazard will be seemingly departing the club for Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid at the end of the season.

But unless Barcelona find an adequate replacement before selling Coutinho, they will not want to get rid of the Brazilian just yet, which is good news as that gives us a chance to sign the Brazilian when the transfer ban is served.
