Jorginho open to transfer talks, Chelsea told £100 million for Traore, Balague has Messi message and Mendy makes claim in icchelseanews roundup..
Chelsea target Lionel Messi will remain at Barcelona beyond the end of the season when his current contract expires, according to Guillem Balague.
Messi hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the summer after it was revealed they he had handed in a transfer request to leave the club after the Spaniards failed to pick up any silverware by the end of the season.
We have been credited with moves for the player, as they are the only three clubs in the Premier League that can even come close to paying his sky high wages.
However, despite all the talks that he was leaving the club, ultimately he opened up and revealed that he would see out his current deal which ends in 2021 as he did not want to take Barcelona through the courts in order to get a move away from the club.
But there is still talk that he will leave Barcelona at the end of the season, with the Premier League his preferred destination, Balague says there is time for the Argentine to pen a new deal at Camp Nou and firmly believes that he will be staying at the Camp Nou.
Balague told FourFourTwo: “He’s had to put what happened over the summer to the back of his mind. He will have time to decide about his future after the elections, but I am convinced that if they go the way Messi wants, with a new board and a clear project, he will stay. I am convinced he will stay.”
Edouard Mendy admits he still can’t believe he plays for a club like Chelsea after making that big move to the Premier League
The new fan-favourite goalie, who has kept two clean sheets in as many games, managed to secure a transfer move to Stamford Bridge in the summer after being watched by the club for a number of months.
And Mendy has opened up and admitted that he still can’t believe he plays for a club like Chelsea, especially after he nearly quit football a few years ago, he beamed: “If someone had said to me then I would end up at Chelsea, I would not have bothered to look at or listen to them.
“It was really very difficult because on one hand you have the anger of finding yourself without a club because of the agent I was with.
“But also the disappointment of not being able to play at the weekend, not being able to do what I love.
“That is really hard, a year is a very long time for a footballer.
“Fortunately I could always count on my family and they helped me through that and to bounce back and get to where I am today.”
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has stunningly revealed that he was open to the idea of holding transfer talks with Arsenal.
Despite being a big part of the side last season and the beginning of this year, there was alot of speculation in the transfer window that Frank Lampard was open to the idea of letting Jorginho leave the club if the right amount of money was offered.
That led to reports that he could be heading back to Italian football, but it also led to shock reports in the media that Arsenal were also interested in trying to sign the midfielder before they eventually wrapped up a transfer deal for Thomas Partey
Now the midfielder says he would have been open to moving to the red side of London if the situation arose but, now that it hasn’t, he’s completely focused on shining for Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge
“I believe that every player is open to negotiations,” Jorginho told ESPN Brazil.
“So I believe there was something they talked about. And in the end it was decided that I remain here. Now my head is here and we’re going to do a great job with Chelsea, which I always wanted to do.”
Reports have claimed that Wolves demand a whopping £100 million for Chelsea linked Adama Traore.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard will keep improving this side over the next few transfer windows and has been linked to a number of Premier League players, as he looks to get the club back to winning the title
Traore is a player that has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting and attacking players in the Premier League, and his performances have meant that he will eventually leave the club, and make the move up to play with one of the very best teams.
However, with all the speculation surrounding the mans future, it has been believed that Wolves would demand a fee of around £60 million and would even sell him for that amount of money, but we will have to spend alot more money.
Reports on the Goal website have reported that Wolves will demand alot more and they will have to fork out around £100 million to prise the winger away in the coming windows, the same amount of money that Jadon Sancho would cost the club.
Look, at the end of the day, Traore is one of the very best wingers in the Premier League and should be playing for a big club, but with Chelsea already having alot of quality in the squad, it would be a massive shock to see them make a move for Traore.
He is brilliant, but for now guys, he is not the kind of player that we need at the club.
