Monaco star Benoit Badiashile says he has had ‘contact’ with Prem clubs amid speculation Chelsea are keen on a transfer deal.

Despite the fact the transfer window is still many months away there is still alot of speculation in the media about the type of players that Thomas Tuchel will get to bring to the club, and how much the board will hand him in the transfer window – there has been alot of speculation

It is no secret that a number of players are already expected to depart the club and that will mean that Tuchel will need to sign replacements that can walk into the squad and make an impact immediately.

That has led to alot of speculation in the media that one of the best defenders in France – Badiashile – is a player that come onto the shopping list of the Blues boss after a very impressive season with Monaco.

Now -amid all the speculation – the defender has opened up and admitted that he has already had contact with Premier League clubs about a possible move to England – Badiashile said: “We all know the competitiveness of the Premier League, it is a fantastic league that of course, is very interesting and we all love the games.

“I had the chance to play in the Champions League with Monaco and I think this club deserves this competition, it’s a club that’s used to playing in this competition and we want to get back on track.

“Right now, I’m really happy with Monaco. I had some contact in the past with some [English] clubs but I’m fully focused on the end of the season and Monaco and I feel good.”
