Champions League winner to hold Chelsea talks – Tuchel suggests star move is on

Cesar Azpilicueta is set to hold talks with Chelsea next week over his future – fans have been told this weekend

Azpilicueta has won the Champions League and the Europa League twice in his time in west London as well as winning two Premier League titles, but with his contract coming to an end at the end of the season, there has been alot of speculation in the media

The club captain wants to leave but does not want to submit a transfer request out of respect to the club he has served for ten years – with reports Barcelona are keen to sign the veteran right back.

However – they are reluctant to pay a transfer fee even though the player has 12 months left on his contract – and they would be able to get him for a bargain priced fee – which is causing some real tension between all involved

Now – reports on the Sun website have claimed that Azpilicueta will sit down with the new board next week to discuss his future at the club – and whether or not he is able to leave

Boss Thomas Tuchel has hinted that Chelsea’s longest serving player could be allowed to leave for nothing as a reward for his loyalty and key part in bringing huge success to the club.

Azpilicueta has been brilliant for the club over the past few years and is a player that Tuchel can rely on – but he clearly has his heart set on one final move and the club should allow him

They will have a big transfer budget to play with – already have Reece James in that position – so would be ok if he does asks to leave the club
