ESPN FC pundit Janusz Michallik has urged Frank Lampard to spend big money to land Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies in the summer..
Lampard has endured some dodgy results at Stamford Bridge this season, and despite all the praise that the boss has been receiving, there is still a feeling in the media that he could still get the sack if he does not get the club back inside the top four, and then push on to challenge next season.
And that has led to a lot of speculation in the media about whom the club record-scorer could sign in the summer, with the left-back area a section of the squad that Lampard needs to improve on, with some reports suggesting that BEN CHILWELL IS THE CLUBS NUMBER ONE SUMMER TRANSFER TARGET
But ESPPN pundit Michallik has opened up and claimed that Lampard should make a move for the exciting, and speedy Davies, who has been making a real name for himself with the Bundesliga giants this season, with his performances even leading to speculation that Bayern are willing to let David Alaba leave the club.
“First of all left full-back, they desperately need to get somebody there,” Michallik said. “Reece James on the other side is good, [Cesar] Azpilicueta can fill in still on both sides but they need that for sure.
“Fonzie [would be my first choice], Fonzie Davies, right. They just saw what he could do, young and up-and-coming. Maybe not the most experienced but I’d take him.”
Chelsea have begun talks about a possible summer transfer deal for Frenchman Houssem Aouar, reports in Italy have claimed over the last 24 hours.
After being nurtured by the club’s famous academy — which has been responsible for producing some of Europe’s current top players including Alexandre Lacazette, Karim Benzema, and Corentin Tolisso — Aoaur started to realize the value of his ability, and n 2015, aged 17, he made his first appearance for Lyon B.
Two years later the first team came calling, with then-coach Bruno Genesio handing him his professional as a late substitute in the UEFA Europa League against AZ Alkmaar, and his performance that night got many at the club excited about just how god this lad could become.
In the 2017-2018 season, in the absence of Tolisso who had just moved to Bayern Munich, he made 31 starts in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, scoring seven goals and producing six assists — and the following season, his stock further increased as he made 44 appearances, scored seven goals, and made seven assists.
With Frank Lampard seeking to add some much needed quality to their midfield and there willingness to give the talents in the game a chance to sign, reports have suggested that Lampard has been impressed with Aouar this season and is ready to beat the likes of Juventus and Arsenal to a summer deal.
And reports on the TMW have suggested that we have made first contact with Lyon about a possible £43 million deal for Aouar, with reports claiming that the French side are hoping that the £50 million mark is broken before they are forced to sell one of their most exciting players.
Chelsea are looking to hijack Arsenal’s proposed move for defender Dayot Upamecano, reports have claimed in the media.
There has been alot of transfer speculation over the last few months since Spanish boss MIKEL Arteta arrived at the club and replaced Unai Emery as coach, with many reports linking the former Manchester City coach with a number of signings over the coming windows.
He managed to secure transfer deals for Pablo Mari and Cedrik Spares during the winter transfer window, but is widely expected to spend some serious money when the summer transfer window opens up and add a few more top-class signings to his squad.
And one player that has long been on the radar of Arsenal is that of Upamencano, who is easily regarded as one of the finest centre-backs in Europe right now after impressing season after season with German out RB Leipzig over the past few years, and it also seemed that he could be making the move to London after the talented young man opened up and dropped a massive hint that he ready to leave the Bundesliga outfit during the summer window, he told BILD: “There are several clubs that want me.
“I will speak with my agents and my parents at the end of the season and we will make the right decision.”
Robert Pires has claimed Chelsea will be looking at a deal for Aston Villa star Jack Grealish in the summer
Frank Lampard is a boss that needs to spend some serious money over the next few weeks in order to improve a side that may in fact struggle to get a top six spot this season, nevermind a Champions League place for next season.
That has, of course, led to all sorts of speculation about whom could come into the club, who could leave the club, and what superstar signing that Lampard will seek to improve his very young side.
However, there has also been some shock rumours in the media that Villa midfielder Grealish could also be on the radar of Lampard after impressing during his first season back in the Premier League.
His performances over the past few months has also caught the attentions of the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool, But Pires has claimed that we will be seeking to try and sign the talented midfielder, Pires told The Sunday Mirror: ‘Jack is a great footballer with a good technique – and I love watching him play because he reminds me of Dennis Bergkamp.
‘He has great vision, he isn’t a selfish player because he always wants to do what is best for the team, and I think he has a great future. ‘I don’t want to put too much pressure on Jack, because he is still a young player learning the game, and Dennis was an incredible talent and a champion.
‘But Grealish is a very complete player and I think the key for him is to keep playing like he enjoys his football.’
