Announcement officially made as Chelsea get another midfielder deal done and dusted
Chelsea’s Izzy Brown has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan, the Blues have confirmed.
There has been so much speculation about the possible signings that we could make this transfer window, that there have been many that have forgotten that there are also players that could leave the club, either on a permanent basis or on short-term loan deals.
And one such player is that of Izzy Brown, who is very highly-rated here but has been unable to make any sort of impact on the first-team over the seasons, and has been shipped out on numerous occasions.
The 23-year-old, who can be deployed out wide, in the number 10 role or up front, is Wednesday’s third summer signing, joining Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Chey Dunkley at Hillsborough to bolster Garry Monk’s squad.
The move to S6 will be the seventh loan spell of Brown’scarrer, and his fourth spell in Yorkshire, having also played for Rotherham United, Huddersfield Town and Leeds United
And upon making the loan move to Wednesday, Brown has opened up and admitted just how delighted he is that a deal was managed to get struck, and he cannot wait to get started for such a massive club.
The 23-year-old said on social media: “Delighted to have completed my move to SWFC for the season.
“A massive club with a great history and I can’t wait to get going in a few weeks @swfc.”
Good move for the lad as this move will show if he is able to play at a very good level.
