Announcement made as Chelsea confirms defender deal is done and dusted!

Defender Joseph Wheeler-Henry has signed his first professional contract with CHELSEA, the Blues have announced on the club website this week.

‘As he navigates his first full season at Under-18s level, Wheeler-Henry has established himself in Hassan Sulaiman’s squad and featured across our 2024/25 Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup campaigns, as well as league fixtures.

‘He also came on as a substitute in Chelsea’s first FA Youth Cup fixture of the season, helping secure a 3-2 victory over Leicester City.

The lad is a serious talent and fans are delighted to see that he has agreed to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, he fully deserves it and now hopefully he will push on to challenge for a regular place in that first starting eleven.

We always like to see the young players getting the contracts that they deserve, but as we said, the hard work starts now as this squad is very exciting and will be very difficlut to break into over the next couple of seasons.
