Malmo will listen to Chelsea offer claims agent, Legend wants powerhouse to stay at Chelsea, Blues to hold negotiations with Bayern star and Blues interested in Gimenez
Malmo will listen to offer, Cascarino wants Giroud to stay, Chelsea to hold Alaba talks, Chelsea interested in Gimenez in icchelseanews roundup..
Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is to start talks with Chelsea in January about a move to Stamford Bridge.
Since making his first-team debut under Louis van Gaal in 2010, Alaba has gone on to make almost 400 appearances for the club in all competitions, and in that time, he has won nine Bundesliga titles, five DFB-Pokals and the Champions League.
However, there is big speculation in the media that he is not happy with the current contract offer that has been placed on the table, and is now considering his options this transfer window.
The Austrian international is out of contract at the end of the season – having rejected a new deal reportedly worth £190,000 a week – and despite being a key player for the European champions, he could be on the move.
Now, according to Bild, the club and Alaba are about to open talks in the January transfer window about a free move to the Premier League at the end of the current season.
Bild also report that PSG are also set for talks, so we will have a battle on their hands if they wish to officially complete this transfer deal.
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino wants Olivier Giroud to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Giroud has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks as there have been alot of suggestions in the media that he will be packing his bags in the January window and making a move away from Stamford Bridge.
However, Frank Lampard has opened up over the last few days and admitted that he is hoping to keep hold of Giroud in the coming transfer window and has even promised to give the striker more game time over the next few weeks.
Now, amid the speculation, Cascarino has opened up and told Giroud that he should stay at the Bridge, He told talkSPORT: “I like Olivier Giroud and I think Frank Lampard said it, he trusts him.
“Lampard is totally happy with him. I’d love him to stay at the football club. He’s the second-highest goalscorer for France.
“He’s been an absolutely great asset for club and country. So Frank has told him what he feels and how he needs him.”
[the_ad id=”164”]Chelsea are reportedly eyeing up a move for Atletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez.
The attack has been improved and so has the defence, but there is a worry that Thiago Silva will not be able to keep up his level of performances over the course of the season into next season, while Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger are still not 100 per cent convincing.
That means that Lampard will be looking to add a new defender to the squad in the coming weeks, with Gimenez a player that has now appeared on the shopping list of the Blues coach.
Gimenez is fast becoming one of the most solid defenders in the game right now and is attracting all sorts of interest from the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG for his very impressive performances in that Madrid shirt.
He has a very high price tag that we would have to meet and pay, roughly around the £70 million mark, and would need some convincing that a move to the Premier League would be the best option for him.
Chelsea target Anel Ahmedhodzic’s agent has confirmed Malmo will listen to offers for the full-back.
Frank Lampard knows that he will still need to add to his squad in the coming transfer windows and keep adding to that defence in order to dominate both domestically and on the European scale.
And recent reports have suggested that we have been keeping tabs on the 21-year-old for some time and being impressed by his performances over the past 12 months, could be heading towards a January transfer offer.
But the defender’s father Mirsad claimed earlier this month a move away was being ‘blocked’ by his agent Markus Rosenborg, as he believes the club are willing to prise his son away from the Swedish club for a fee of £6.9million but his agent was interfering.
However, Rosenborg has quashed such suggestions and insisted Malmo are open to offers.
Ahmedhodzic is a very good talent that does have a bright future in the game, but at the end of the day, he would struggle to make any sort of impact on this squad side and a move to the Bridge would not be a good one for him to make.
He would be playing for one of the best clubs in the game, a top-club and but right now, he is not a player that is worth paying money for, we would hate to see his talent wasted by sitting ion the bench here week in and week out, wouldnt you guys?
