Agent opens up and tells fans that Cheap Chelsea deal will not happen in January

Emerson Palmieri will not be allowed to leave Chelsea on the cheap this January, his agent has confirmed.

The arrival of Ben Chilwell at left-back has seen Emerson fall down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and the Italy international has been linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks.

The club know that they need to get rid of a number of deadwood players at the club in the coming transfer window, and maybe raise some funds to complete a couple more transfer deals, as Frank Lampard is not completely happy with his squad.

However, there was also some reports in the media that we would allow Emerson to leave the club in the coming window on a potential loan-deal, if they were unable to get the right kind of funds for the left-back.

But amid speculation that Emerson is heading to Inter Milan in the winter window, agent Fernando Garcia has told FC Inter News that the Nerazzurri will have to pay up to land Emerson.

He said: “Chelsea eventually want to monetise his sale. Not having a [loan fee] is a problem.

“Some teams have already made some enquiries, but I won’t reveal which ones.

“We haven’t talked about [cost].”

Look, at the end of the day, Emerson is a player that we can offload and not miss too much, so if the right offer does arrive from Inter in the coming transfer window, they should definitely let the man leave.

He has been good for us at times, but now is the right time to leave
