£150m warning! Bale agent opens up and make shocking £650,000-a-week Chelsea claim
The agent of Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has told the likes of Chelsea they cant afford to acquire the services of the Welshman.
After another frustrating season at the Bernabeu in which he has been plagued by injuries and poor performances, there has been a lot of transfer speculation that he could be sold during the summer transfer window with a move to the Premier League always on the agenda.
We have been linked with mega money moves for the Welshman, with the club seeking an immediate replacement for Eden Hazard, who is heavily tipped to pack his bags and head off to Madrid.
However, his agent Jonathan Barnett has cooled speculation that he could be heading back to the Premier League in the summer by claiming that no one can could afford his massive £150 million transfer fee and £650,000-a-week wages.
Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports News, Barnett said: “This generation of Real fans will be talking about Gareth’s goals for years to come. Frankly they should be ashamed of themselves.
“Gareth deserves the greatest of respect. The way the Real fans have treated Gareth is nothing short of a disgrace.”
On a move to the Premier League, he said: “No one could afford him.”
Would Bale be welcome at Stamford Bridge?
Bale is an absolute superstar that is the kind of game changer that we need in the squad if we are to get back into the hunt for a Premier League title, but he is no longer worth £150 million and we would have to get that fee down to make the deal worth it.
We can afford to bring him to the club, but for silly money he would not be worth the hassle, especially in the kind of form he has been on this season.
