Chelsea get £80 milliob boost as Agent announces Pepe talks to leave Lille
The agent of Nicolas Pepe has told the likes of Chelsea that the £57 million rated winger is in talks to leave Lille at the end of the season.
Despite having the likes of Olivier Giroud and Gonzalo Higuaín on the books at Stamford Bridge, Maurizio Sarri is seeking a more long-term solution to his goal-scoring problems and has been linked with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Mauro Icardi over the past few months.
But another name that has been mentioned about a possible move to London is that of Pepe, as the 23-year-old Pepe is among the most highly-rated forwards in Europe and his transfer value is estimated at more than 50 million euros (£57 million).
[the_ad id=”164″]Pepe has scored 19 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions this season and has been tipped to become one of the most deadly strikers in the game, with Arsenal boss Unai Emery a big fan.
And amid all the transfer speculation surrounding his future with the club, Pepe’s agent, Samir Khiat, says the 23-year-old has yet to decide which club he will join, but now looks certain to leave at the end of the season.
‘We are in discussions with clubs. No decision has been taken,’ Khiat told RTL on Saturday.
‘Today, there are no favourites, be it Bayern Munich or another club. Nicolas will not go just anywhere. We have not decided on which league.’
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are now open to the idea of selling winger Wilfried Zaha during the summer transfer window.
After a disappointing few seasons with Manchester United, Zaha has rebuilt his career back at Palace over the past few years and has become one of the most exciting and creative wingers in the Premier League, attracting a whole host of clubs.
We are seeking a long-term replacement for the departing Eden Hazard, who is set for a summer move to Real Madrid, and despite their impending transfer ban, they have been linked with a big money move to try and sign the £40 million rated star.
And now the Daily Mail has claimed that Palace would be open to selling their star man at the end of the season, if clubs are willing to splash the cash and pay close to the £80 million valuation they have placed on the wingers head.
