Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has said that CHELSEA midfielder Enzo Fernandez could get fed up with the Blues if results do not improve.

The 22-year-old, who cost £107m, only spent six months in Portugal but attracted the attention of several clubs during Argentina’s triumphant World Cup campaign in Qatar.

His move to Stamford Bridge has not worked out like he had hoped though – and he has not made the impact that American owner Ted Boehly would have liked, but that has not been the players fault.

The whole squad have not been performing over the past few seasons, and with all the transfer signings that have been arriving at the club, Enzo has been the mainstay in that side.

He signed an eight-and-a-half-year deal at Stamford Bridge to keep him at the club until the summer of 2031, and after another poor start to the new Premier League season, Merson has claimed that he could get fed up if the results do not improve.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Merson told Sky Sports: “Mauricio Pochettino will get it right because he’s a good manager, but it’s going to be hard. If they get in the top four then they will be pulling up trees.

“They’ve bought too many players that are the same. Enzo Fernandez is different class – a cut above the rest. But how long will he stand for this?”

IcChelseanews View…

There is no doubt that Enzo Fernandez is a very gifted player that has a bright future in the game and we are sure that he will help the club get back into the habit of winning.

We will all get fed up if things dont change, we have the manager and we have a very exciting squad, belief is what we all need.
