Sahin issues Haaland message, Sancho opens door to deal, Rudiger to hold talks and Zidane reacts to Hazard rumours in Chelsea latest…
Nuri Sahin has tipped Erling Haaland to reach the levels of Bayern Munich icon Robert Lewandowski.
Haaland is one of the most talked about players in world football right now after becoming a dominant source of goals over at Dortmund, but there has been alot of speculation that clubs are circling for his services.
And amid the speculation, Sahin, who played alongside another great Dortmund striker in Lewandowski, watching in awe as the Poland star established himself as one of the world’s best, says the signs are that Haaland has what it takes to reach a similar kind of level in the future.
He said: “He can get there. But the thing is not to get there, but to stay there. This is what Lewandowski has done.
“Let’s speak about the last 10 years; there was [Luis] Suarez, [Sergio] Aguero, Harry Kane, Lewy and [Karim] Benzema, and they stayed at that level.
“Haaland can make it, for sure. He has huge potential, and what I heard from Dortmund is that he is training really well, that he’s very professional.
“That mentality is key. People at Dortmund say they never saw a guy as professional since Lewandowski. I don’t know Haaland, but I saw Lewy, and every day you could see in his eyes that this guy wants to win everything.
“If Haaland has that, then he can absolutely make it.”
Haaland is a player that we love very much and if we did manage to secure his services in the summer, he could help bring that Premier League title back to the Bridge
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger will hold talks about his future at the end of the season.
Rudiger was a player that was struggling for game time under former boss Frank Lampard and there was alot of speculation in the media that he would be a player that could get sold at the end of the season.
However, Tuchel took over from Lampard just a few months ago and the German boss has turned this side into one of the best, with Rudiger becoming a big part in the clubs FA Cup and Champions League runs
However, his contract is up in the summer of 2022 and there has not been any talks with the club about agreeing a new contract, which has again led to speculation that we may opt to let him leave at the end of the season.
However, Reports on Sky Sports have claimed that Rudiger does indeed want to stay at the Bridge, but he wants to wait until Thomas Tuchel’s long-term future is sorted before deciding on his own future.
Tuchel’s contract – like Rudiger’s – runs until next summer and there has also been no talks with the board about extending his stay at the club.
Sky Sports News has learnt Rudiger would have been allowed to leave in January if he had signed a one-year extension to his contract. Rudiger decided to stay amid interest from PSG, Tottenham and AC Milan as he believed he would get playing time – even under Lampard.
Rudiger has proven himself to be a very good player for Tuchel over the past few weeks, so the news that he has not agreed a new contract will worry fans. But there is plenty of time.
Zinedine Zidane has reacted to talk of Eden Hazard being allowed to leave Real Madrid with a return to Chelsea mooted.
Hazard was a superstar for us during his stay with the club and many fans were sad to see him leave the club a few years ago when he sealed his dream move to Madrid in a deal worth £134 million.
However, injuries and poor performances has meant that he has not had the best of time at Madrid and there is a feeling that he will be allowed to leave the club in the summer, especially after his actions in the Champions League semi-finals against Chelsea.
Hazard was caught on camera joking with Chelsea stars at the end of a continental clash that saw the club edge out Real 2-0 on the night to reach the Champions League final.
Asked about the transfer talk surrounding Hazard, Zidane has told reporters: “All the players have their hearts in the club but for now it hasn’t been possible to see the Eden Hazard we want to see.
“But I believe he is going to get there. It’s a difficult moment with everything that’s happened but he has a contract and what he wants is to succeed here.”
There was no doubt that Hazard was one of the very best players in the Premier League when he was here and many people cannot figure out why he has been such a flop at the Bernabeu.
But at the end of the day, it would be a shock to see him make a move back to the club.
Chelsea target Jadon Sancho admits he cannot say for certain what the future holds for him ahead of the summer window.
Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football, Sancho has developed into a class act over in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons and he is now a player that is tipped to become one of the best in world football.
Sancho has long been a top transfer priority for the club, but Dortmund have been equally stubborn in holding on to one of their top young stars.
And amid all the speculation that we will try and make a move for Sancho in the summer window, he has now come out and opened the door to a possible deal by admitting that he does not know where his future is.
“I don’t know about my future,” the 21-year-old told ESPN on Saturday after netting twice in his side’s 3-2 defeat of RB Leipzig.
“I am very happy here in Dortmund at the moment. I love the club, the fans and the team.
“They gave me my first professional start. The fans motivate and push me to the limit.”
Sancho is a player that the club like very much and they will surely be a club that make an official move for the man should he come onto that transfer market in the summer. So with the season coming to a close, it will be interesting to see where Sancho goes.
But we would love to see him here right?
