£100m man wants Chelsea move – Blues told to sign striker – Incoming signing ‘Astute’
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys may have missed –
CHELSEA are reportedly signing a player that has a very high footballing IQ in the shape of Moscardo.
The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for Corinthians in June and is widely regarded as one of the brightest midfield talents in the country.
But according to former Corinthians midfielder Neto, who now hosts Brazilian TV show ‘Os Donos da Bola’, claims we have won the race to sign Moscardo.
Speaking on Monday’s show, Neto said: ‘The Moscardo boy was sold to Chelsea. That’s the information I have. That’s why he didn’t play.’
And GOAL journalist Krishan Davis has claimed that we are seemingly getting a player that has a very high footballing IQ: “As a defensive midfielder, he is predictably astute at reading the game, he passes precisely and he presses and battles tirelessly – a result of his youth but also testament to his stamina.
“His ball-carrying ability is particularly eye-catching, as he is able to progress play with the ball at his feet without discarding his defensive duties. That is undoubtedly an attribute that has led to him catching the eye of Europe’s elite.”
IcChelseanews View…
There is alot of hype surrounding the lad, there really are some big clubs interested in a potential deal for the man, he is a player that everyone wants.
We are a massive club and this is a great opportunity – but at the end of the day it is a move that he did not need to make at this stage of his career.
CHELSEA TOLD TO SIGN TONEY –
Reporter Iomie Stanley has insisted that CHELSEA should pay no more than £80million for Ivan Toney.
Toney has been a man in the headlines for the past few months as it is heavily believed that all the big clubs will make a move for him in the January window, when he officially returns from that football ban.
And reporter Stanley has claimed that we should make a move for the striker in January, he said: “Brentford know that they’re only going to get one chance to sell Ivan Toney and they will want to receive as much as they possibly can for him.
‘Right now his value is at his highest as many people are going off his performances last season, he may come back and fail to live upto the expectations that are now on his shoulders
“But Once Ivan is match fit, then there will be no problems going forward and we can see him working really well in that Chelsea attack under Mauricio Pochettino, he really is ready for that next step.
‘So if Brentford ask for £80 million, CHELSEA should pay it.’
IcChelseanews Opinion –
Toney is a quality act, he has all the qualities to be a massive star at Stamford Bridge – but we do believe that he may stay put in the January window and could wait until the summer to make his next decision.
But if we really want to sign a striker that will make an immediate impact on the side, then paying more than £80 million for a player like Toney would be a very smart idea.
OSIMHEN WANTS TO JOIN –
Glen Johnson believes that Victor Osimhen wants to join CHELSEA in the January transfer window.
Despite all the quality that has been signed – we failed to sign an elite striker that has the ability to come in and score 25-goals a season, and that has led to reports that Osimhen is a man that is wanted.
The big Napoli star is regarded as one of the finest strikers in the game right now and is a player that the board have been linked with for many seasons, but have been able to get a deal done as the Italians have been asking for crazy money.
But amid all the speculation that we will be heading back into that transfer window in January to sign Osimhen, Johnson has now opened up and claimed that the Nigerian does want to join us, despite their poor start to the season.
Speaking to GG Recon, the former defender said: “Regardless of what’s happening at Napoli, I believe Victor would want to join Chelsea anyway.
“However, Victor will be kicking himself that this move could happen when CHELSEA are currently in transition. Of course they’re a big team and they’re going to bounce back eventually.
“But as long as Victor is willing to wait 18 months or so for that to happen, then I’m sure he’d still want to sign for them in January. If Napoli continue to struggle this season, then that will make the decision even easier for Victor.”
